The Green Hospitality Awards are an internationally recognised, third-party environmental and sustainability certification programme, requiring businesses to follow a defined set of criteria and implement an Environmental Management System that builds towards a comprehensive sustainability programme. We are honoured to have received the Silver Award from Green Hospitality, a testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability. Food Waste Reduction Initiatives

The Shelbourne is dedicated to operating as a responsible business and minimising its environmental impact through sustainable practices. Recognising the importance of environmental sustainability, we are focused on reducing our ‘foodprint’ and fostering a food waste-conscious environment. BREEAM In Use

BREEAM is a building certification system that measures and assesses the sustainability performance of buildings. It provides guidance on best-practice building management to help ensure minimal environmental impact. The Shelbourne Hotel achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating in both Part 1 and Part 2 of the BREEAM assessment process. This rating reflects the considered approach to how The Shelbourne is managed, as well as the team’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility. This is a particularly impressive achievement considering the building is over 200 years old.
