The Great Room

Steeped in history and elegance, The Shelbourne’s  Great Room stands as a testament to the glory days of Dublin’s grandeur. Meticulously restored, this majestic ballroom features silk wall coverings, a sumptuous carpet, and an ornate domed ceiling, creating an atmosphere of timeless sophistication. From enchanting dinner dances to prestigious conferences, The Great Room provides a distinguished setting for Dublin’s most notable events.

The Adams & Deirdre Suite

These suites have been impeccably refurbished and reimagined in astonishing detail, epitomising luxury and refinement. The Adams Suite dazzles with light hearted neoclassical plasterwork, while the Deirdre Suite exudes warmth with its beeswax yellow walls and ivory painted panelling. Together, they can accommodate up to 80 guests for a private dinner, or provide an exclusive backdrop for upscale meetings in boardroom, classroom, or theatre style.

The St. Stephen’s Suite

St. Stephen’s Green has always been an important presence in the life of the hotel and lends its name to the St. Stephen’s Suite, where you will find yourself surrounded by beauty. With glorious views of the Green, rich red walls, beautiful ornate ceiling and shimmering chandelier it provides a spectacular setting for meetings of up to 60 people theatre style, or 40 for an elegant private meal.

The George Moore Suite

Renowned playwright and novelist George Moore, born in County Mayo in 1852, immortalised The Shelbourne in his novel ‘A Drama in Muslin’. Rumoured to have penned his comedy “The Bending of the Bough” during one of his stays here, the suite bearing his name welcomes up to 22 guests with opulent silk walls and a crystal chandelier, in a relaxing atmosphere of grace and distinction.

The Constitution Suite

The Shelbourne’s iconic Constitution Room holds historic significance as the birthplace of the Irish Constitution in 1922. With its silk wall coverings, views of St. Stephen’s Green, and the original antique table and chairs used for the signing of The Constitution, it offers a captivating setting for elegant dining occasions of up to 22 guests, imbued with evocative gravitas and Irish history.
